The Director/ Sr. Director – Product Marketing is a critical role for our success. She/he will be a key leader in positioning TapClicks as a thought leader and visionary in the Marketing Reporting, Data Analytics and Operations Management SaaS space, working closely with the VP - Marketing & Customer Experience, and building/managing a high performing team. She/he will be a key evangelist for the company and demonstrate exceptional knowledge of our space and customer challenges. She/he will have overall ownership for ensuring effective sales enablement, competitive intelligence, analyst relations, content, plus drive overall thought leadership content.
This is a multi-faceted role, with the following key responsibilities
Team Management. Lead and manage the product marketing team, providing effective coaching and guidance to ensure the team meets its overall objectives, maintains high morale and is a strategic value contributor. In addition, be a very ‘hands-on”, “doer” and ‘player/ coach”. ”The below are key areas of team responsibility, ultimately owned by the Director/ Sr. Director– Product Marketing.
Thought leadership. Drive effective positioning of TapClicks as a thought leader in Marketing SaaS
Collaborate with the VP-Marketing & Customer Experience and other executives to define overall product positioning, packaging, messaging, value proposition and differentiation
Author thought leadership content such as whitepapers, ebooks, presentations, media bylines, blogs, etc.
Present on webinars, events and other venues
Nurture product marketing team to ensure excellent knowledge of our space
Content Development. Own collateral development and updates, ensuring effective positioning of TapClicks solutions
Build close relations with key analysts and influencers from Gartner, Forrester, Sirius Decisions, BIA Kelsey, Borrell Associates etc.
Effectively position TapClicks with analysts and influencers to ensure favorable coverage / rankings. Lead evaluations for Magic Quadrant/ Forrester Wave and other reports, serving as subject matter expert
Sales enablement. Lead efforts to ensure sales/pre-sales is knowledgeable about TapClicks offerings and positioned to win deals
Train BDRs, SDRs and Account Managers on product capabilities
Develop sales content
Provide ad-hoc support as subject matter experts in sales cycles
Own the pre-sales product demo instance and sand-box and up-date with new dashboards, templates, persona needs and sample data that drives insight
Customer Success enablement: Own and manage the resources involved in building standard and custom dashboards and reports for our clients while providing support to the Customer Success teams; enable client success; and also bring back insight from these frontline experiences to inform the product roadmap and demo instances
Competitive intelligence. Serve as market expert, ensuring timely and accurate knowledge of competitive capabilities and positioning.
Stay abreast of competitors
Inform company of competitive updates in a timely manner
Develop/maintain competitive assessments for key competitors
Support the VP-Marketing & Customer experience in his duties by supporting special projects such as Corporate and Product Strategy, Pricing, Corporate and Investor positioning, evaluating new market and solution opportunities and assessing inorganic growth opportunities
Extensive travel can be required at times to support sales, meet customers/analysts, conduct presentations and for internal meetings. Overall roughly 20-40% travel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, IT or Engineering. Master’s degree preferred
6-15 years’ product marketing experience; any technical marketing experience preferred
Domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: Digital Marketing, Marketing Reporting, Marketing Analytics & Dashboards, Marketing Operations Management, Media Company / Publisher Sales/ Account Management/ Operations, Advertising Agency Sales/ Account Management/ Operations, Hyper Local Marketing, Ad-Tech, Mar-Tech, Programmatic Marketing
Actual experience working in an Advertising Agency or Media/ Publisher company’s Digital business that led to empathetic understanding of needs of Executives, Sales, Account Management and Operations executives at an Ad Agency is a plus
Strong written communication skills. Must be able to write interesting, insightful content
Strong verbal communication skills, including ability and comfort presenting in both small group and large settings
Proven experience building and managing high performing teams
Ability to build strong relationships with Clients, sales/pre-sales teams
A true team player that collaborates well to drive cross-departmental projects
Leverage-able business connections in Advertising Agencies and Media/Publisher companies are a plus
Strong proficiency in MS Office, Apple office suite
Prior international experience in UK, Nordics, France, Germany, Singapore, Australia is a plus
