New Features in TapAnalytics 5.10

Marchex Scoring Model (Standard)

We have been offering our own scoring algorithms to give you an easy way to get a glimpse at how your campaigns are doing. With the 5.10 release, we have enhanced our scoring algorithms to include the MarchEx service. This custom scoring algorithm has been perfected using various fields from MarchEx to help you fully keep track of your campaign’s progress. Enable these Scores in your Reporting Profiles to add visualizations to your campaigns.

USER BENEFITS: With our new scoring algorithm for MarchEx, users can easily track the progress of each campaign and quickly notice which campaigns need attention. This saves time and helps prioritize which campaigns need to be optimized.

Choose Default Homepage (Standard)

Before the 5.10 release, every user that logs in would automatically be redirected to the Services Overview. This made it quick and easy for users to see their data. With the 5.10 release, we are offering YOU the ability to choose which screen you want to be the homepage. This will give Super Admins access to each user’s home screen and allow them to determine what the best screen. Below is a list of screens that can be set as the homepage:

  • Services Overview
  • Categories Overview (If enabled)
  • Leads Management (If enabled)
  • Auto Leads (If enabled)
  • Dashboard views (Elite)

These Homepages can be set for Reporting Profiles or specific users. If Services Overview is selected and is Hidden, by default we will show the Categories Overview. Likewise, if the Categories Overview is selected and is hidden, by default we will show the Services Overview.TapAnalytics Example Edit User Homepage

USER BENEFITS: Users will now be directed towards the most accurate screen for them. This will make for quick and easy data management.

Custom Categories

TapAnalytics has had the ability to group like services and combine the data in widgets using our Elite Only Categories feature. This has given users the ability to have totals across services and create visual representations for the data. In the 5.10 release, we have completely enhanced Categories and opened up the feature to our Pro users with Pre-defined Categories. These Categories now give the Elite users the ability to create their own Category Metrics by combining any field from any service.  On top of that, users can view these Categories in a “Categories Overview” which will be very similar to our “Services Overview”.

Pre-defined Categories (Pro)*

As mentioned above, Pro users will now be introduced to Categories. These Categories will be Pre-defined and will automatically group any service that falls into one of the 8 that have been created. Pro users will have access to view and report off of these Categories. Below is the list of Pre-defined Categories:

  • Email Services
  • Website/Landing Tracking Services
  • SEO
  • Social Services
  • SEM/PPC Services
  • Local Listing
  • Lead tracking Services
  • Display Services

In each of these Pre-defined Categories, we have created an extensive list of Category Metrics which combines similar metrics across each of the services.

Elite Users will have access to these Pre-defined Categories as well. This will give the Elite Users access to create copies of Pre-defined Categories and customize them to fit whatever their needs are.

Categories Overview (Pro)*

You can now view your Categories in the same way you can view your services with our Categories Overview feature. This gives you the ability to drill into your Category and see the combined data all in one place. Our Pro users will be able to see the list of their Pre-defined Categories and our Elite users will be able to see the list of all of their Categories using this view. This feature will be turned off by default for existing clients and will be automatically turned on for new clients.

Reporting Profiles (Pro)*

Now that Categories are included in reports and a Categories Overview, we have added them to the Reporting Profiles. This means you can control what fields are shown in the Category for each Reporting Profile.

This will allow users to Hide/Show specific Categories in Reports as well as specific fields. Giving you complete control over what data is shown.

Custom Category Metrics (Elite)*

In Elite, we introduce complete customizability with Categories. Elite users will be able to create their own Categories completely from the start. Which means they can create their own Category Metrics. Category Metrics are metrics that are comprised of a combination of fields across all services.

For Example, you may want to combine your Bing Ads and Google Adwords Services to get a total across your SEM services. Once a category is created with Google Adwords and Bing Ads, you can create a Category Metric that combines Bing Spend with Google Cost. This will add the Spend and Cost from each to create a Total Cost field.

Calculations (Elite)*

One of the most powerful features in this release is that our Calculations feature now works with Categories. You will be able to combine multiple services and then create a Calculation that is spans across all services. This means you can control your data in whatever way you’d like.

A great example of how to use this feature would be to create a Category that combines Call tracking services. You can then create Category Metrics for Total Cost and Total Calls. Once those Category Metrics are created, a Calculation can be made for Total Cost/Total Calls to create a cross-service Cost Per Call calculation.

Elite Dashboards

Cluster Support (Elite)

Before this release, Super Admins were the only users who had access to Elite Dashboards. This allowed them to have full control over who views what. In this release, we have given the ability for Cluster Admins to have the same power in Elite Dashboards. This means that Elite Dashboards can now be assigned to specific Clusters much like reporting profiles. On top of that, the Cluster Admins will have full control over the widgets that are shown for their cluster.

TapAnalytics Client Cluster Support
Fig. 15 – Assign specific Clusters to dashboards using Edit Dashboard. If no Clusters are assigned to a dashboard, all Clusters will have access to it.

USER BENEFITS: This adds more permissions to our User Hierarchy. In turn, this gives Cluster Admin full control over their cluster.

Copy Dashboards (Elite)

Along with the Cluster Support for Elite Dashboards, we have created the ability to Copy Dashboards. This is done in the Manage Dashboard Views. It will allow Admins to Copy Dashboards and assign them to different Reporting Profiles. This will prevent the user from having to recreate dashboards widget by widget, which in turn saves time for you!

TapAnalytics Copy Your Reporting Dashboard
Fig. 16 – Copy Dashboards in the Manage Dashboards screen.

USER BENEFITS: Admins can now create duplicate dashboards without having to create a whole new dashboards and manually add each widget. Saving time for you!

Multiple Y Axes in Line/Bar Charts (Elite)

You have asked and we have listened! You can now display metrics relative to each other in line and bar charts. This is useful for when you are displaying outlier metrics. In the widget setup, choose to Enable Multiple Axes to activate this feature.

TapAnalytics Multiple Y Axis Charts For Clicks And Impressions
Fig. 17 – Above is a graph comparing Clicks and Impressions with Multiple Y Axes.

USER BENEFITS: Users can now compare metrics that are scaled differently. For Example, comparing Clicks vs. Impressions is usually hard in a graph because Impressions are approximately in the 50,000 range when Clicks are in the 50 range. This makes clicks hard to track. Using Multiple Axes, Clicks will no longer be hard to read in a graph. After all, look above!

New Widgets (Elite)

Stacked Bar Chart

We have now added a Stacked Bar Chart widget to our collection. This will give you the ability to view data in a grouped structure for each day breakdown. Allowing you to see all of your data in one bar.

TapAnalytics Dashboard Widget Stacked Vertical Bar Chart
Fig. 18 – Above is a great example for Call Tracking. You can view your Total Calls by Answers and Hang Ups combined in a single bar.

Combination Chart

Combination Charts have also been added to our Widget collection. These are graphs that have both Line and Bar Charts combined. These types of graphs are great for comparing sets of data that are in two different types of formats.

TapAnalytics Dashboard Reporting Combo Chart
Fig. 19 – A great use case for these types of graphs is to show Impressions and CTR together. In this Case CTR is going across in the line and Impressions are shown in the bars.
